NTNU’s AutoNauts Lead Mission in Frohavet

Autonaut

In early 2025, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) turned to AutoNaut’s long-endurance, zero-carbon ASVs to help unlock new insights into Frohavet’s coastal marine ecosystems. Over a three-month deployment, the red AutoNaut “RAN” and yellow AutoNaut “YAN” gathered vital biological and optical data, contributing to a multi-layered “observational pyramid” of research spanning from the sea surface to satellites in orbit.
